Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, February 9th – 13th
We are organizing a winter school on Robot handling of deformable objects, with an emphasis on textile, from February 9th to 13th, 2026 as part of the ROMANDIC project . The purpose of the winter school is to address the underlying topics of robot handling of deformables and get hands-on experience in the specifics in perception, simulation, use of robots, and applications in the field. We have invited the leading scientists and practitioners in this field to give lectures and we have prepared interactive sessions / mini projects with the use of collaborative robots and simulation packages.
Speakers:
Julia Borras / Guillem Alenyà – Agencia Estatal Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas (CSIC)
planning and manipulation of deformables; project partners
Tamim Asfour – Karlsruher Institut fuer Technologie (KIT)
hardware and manipulation; project partner
Arash Ajoudani – Italian Institute of Technology (IIT)
learning, manipulation and human-in-the-loop
Andrej Gams – Jožef Stefan Institute (JSI)
learning and manipulation; project partner
Francis wyffels – Ghent University (UGent)
perception, learning and manipulation
Renaud Detry – KU Leuven (KUL)
